Every year Competenz makes arrangements with local and regional polytechnics and training companies to provide apprentices with trade and industry training.

Training is provided by a mix of block courses, day release training, evening classes and distance learning.

Most polytechnics and training companies can also provide competency assessments and credit reporting services.

Each year an apprentice is entitled to one block course plus either one night class or one correspondence course. Apprentices have one year to complete each level of study.

If you are traveling outside your local area to attend a course, a travel subsidy may be available.
