Fire Protection

These qualifications are intended for people moving into or already employed in the fire protection industry.

The level 3 national certificate qualifications can be achieved in the course of a two year traineeship or apprentice programme, and may lead on to a national certificate qualification at Level 4.

The level 4 national certificate qualifications can be achieved in the course of a three to four year traineeship or apprentice programme, and may lead on to a national diploma qualification at Level 5.

The Level 3 Hand Operated Fire Fighting Equipment qualification is designed for people in the fire protection industry, whose work involves surveying, selection, installation, commissioning and maintenance of hand operated fire fighting equipment.

The Level 3 Fire Detection and Alarms Systems Testing qualification is designed for people in the fire protection industry, whose work involves inspection and testing of fire detection and alarm systems.
