These qualifications are intended for people moving into or already employed in the fire protection industry. The level 3 national certificate qualifications can be achieved in the course of a two year traineeship or apprentice programme, and may lead on to a national certificate qualification at Level 4. The level 4 national certificate qualifications can be achieved in the course of a three to four year traineeship or apprentice programme, and may lead on to a national diploma qualification at Level 5.
