Auckland Plastics and Materials Processing graduates celebrate

Around 200 people gathered at Villa Maria Estate on Wednesday, 27 November to celebrate the success of around 80 Auckland-based plastics and materials processing graduates. Barbara Wilkinson, Chief Executive of PaMPITO hosted the evening and John Blakey, CEO of Competenz congratulated the graduates and introduced Competenz to the audience.

The guest speaker was Dillon Boucher, ex- professional basketball player. He spoke about his background and the power of setting daily goals by looking in the mirror each morning and challenging yourself to become a better employee, mother, father or sportsperson.

At the end of the day he said, you should look in the mirror again and ask yourself if you achieved your goals. The key to success is the small things. “If you improve everyday” he explained, “not only you, but all the people around you will benefit.” To view photos from the event check out our photos on Facebook here.

2013 Services to Training Award - Jason Howearth, Cavalier Bremworth
2013 Commitment to Training Award - Alsco

For many of the attendees, the celebrations continued at the graduation dinner at Villa Maria. Congratulations to all our graduates on their hard work and achievements.
