Ensuring consistent standards with assessor workshops

Assessor workshops

Jason Hemopo, Competenz National Forestry Moderator, has been leading workshops throughout New Zealand for our assessors working with high end tree-felling units.

The workshops ensure that all assessors for these high risk areas are clear about the processes to assess the work of apprentices and learners to a consistently high standard.

Competenz also invited Worksafe New Zealand, whose focus is to embed and promote good workplace health and safety practices, to attend the workshops.

So far workshops have been held in Kaikohe, Hawkes Bay, Gisborne, Auckland, with further workshops planned for Balclutha, Christchurch, Nelson, Rotorua, Tokoroa, Palmerston North and Bulls over the next month.

If you would like any information on the assessor workshops, please email Jason Hemopo.
