Futureforce Action Network (FAN)

On November 6, 2013 the Smart Waikato Charitable Trust is launching the Futureforce Action Network (FAN) and BEST Practice toolkit at the Gallagher Building, Kahikatea Drive, Hamilton. This is a culmination of a body of work commenced in August 2012 designed to mobilise, co‐ordinate, educate and equip employers to offer more work experience, internships, apprenticeships, cadetships and jobs for young people in our region.

Project Outline As part of the BEST Youth Initiative, Futureforce Action Network (FAN) has been established by the Smart Waikato Trust to mobilise, co‐ordinate, educate and equip employers and educators to more effectively incorporate young people into the Waikato workplace.

This important region‐wide network, and supporting resources, will ultimately result in hundreds more work opportunities (work experience, apprenticeships, internships and jobs) for young people throughout the region.

To be launched at the Gallagher Building, Kahikatea Drive Hamilton, on November 6, 2013, FAN is an innovative opportunity to support an initiative making a real and positive difference to young people aged 15‐24, the future workforce, the Waikato community and the regional economy. Competenz Account Manager, Allen Bryce, has been involved throughout the project as a Steering Group member. View more details about the launch here. View FAN facts here.
