Competenz has designed the Introduction to Team Management programme to equip your current and future Team Leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in their roles.

Modules covered include:

  • Management essentials
  • Motivating others
  • Delivering results
  • Increasing performance
  • Understanding your organisation

Delivery:
The programme can be undertaken as: National Certificate in Business (Level 3) – includes all five modules.

Or

A short course – Management Essentials plus one other module that meets the needs of your business.

$50 per module (this includes learning material, assessing, PowerPoint for internally lead sessions)

 

This qualification is intended for people who are already working as, or are training to work in first line management roles such as team leaders, supervisors, or charge hands.

The level 3 qualification is designed to assist people in these roles who may have had little or no formal training, and are likely to be responsible for managing people, resources, and/or workplace operations.

The compulsory section specifies the essential oral communication skills required of first line managers, while the elective sections allow people to select from a diverse range of outcomes to allow the qualification to be focused on the specific needs of the individual, business, or workplace.

Knowledge and skills covered in the first two elective sections include relevant business skills such as administration, quality management, systems and resources, people development, and interpersonal skills.

A third elective allows the candidate to choose from anywhere on the National Qualifications Framework to include industry-specific skills and knowledge, or to build on earlier learning, or begin building a personalised career pathway.

This qualification recognises the skills and knowledge expected of people who are already working as, or are seeking work in first line management roles such as team leaders, supervisors, or charge hands.

Holders of this qualification are likely to already have significant experience and responsibility for managing people, resources, and/or workplace operations.

The compulsory section specifies key skills and knowledge in relationship management, performance management, and workplace organisational principles required of first line managers at this level.

The elective sections allow people to select from a diverse range of outcomes to allow the qualification to be focused on the specific needs of the individual, business, or workplace.

Knowledge and skills covered in the first two elective sections include relevant business skills such as administration, people development, financial skills, quality, systems and resources, and interpersonal skills.

A third elective allows the candidate to choose from anywhere on the National Qualifications Framework. Candidates may choose to include standards specific to their industry, or those from Occupational Health and Safety, or Assessment of Learning, or to build on earlier learning and develop a career pathway of their choosing.
