What do they do?

Apparel workers are involved in the design, production and sales of garments, including womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and accessories.

What kind of jobs could I do?

Roles in the apparel industry include:

  • Fabric Cutter
  • Designer
  • Patternmaker
  • Sewing Machinist
  • Sample Coordinator
  • Production Manager – offshore or domestic

Plus there are opportunities to take on the types of roles that are common to all manufacturing processes (e.g. quality control, distribution, sales).
