The team at JP Engineering Services service the light commercial and residential engineering needs of greater Auckland. Their services include general steel fabrication, structural steel fabrication for residential and light commercial buildings, steel cutting, welding, including on-site fabrication welding, and bespoke metalwork projects.

JP Engineering Services has a great team with a wealth of knowledge meaning you will receive top-quality training. There are also other apprentices who can help you with your learning.
The skills you will gain over the term of this apprenticeship are:
Mōu
If you have a pre-trade qualification or certification in welding that will be an advantage but not essential. Ultimately what JP Engineering is looking for is an outstanding attitude toward your work and learning.
You will also need:
Ngā Hāora
Hours will be discussed with you at interview stage with JP Engineering. The standard hours are start time of 6.30 am and finish time between 3pm and 5pm.
When they are busy, they work every second Saturday for 5 hours.
Te Tohu
New Zealand Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Trade) (Level 4) – with strand in Heavy Fabrication and Steel Construction
