About the Opportunity

Mō Te Huarahi  

JMP have a well established apprentice training plan and are now ready for their next intake of a fabrication apprentice to support their business.  This means you’ll get excellent training and support during your apprenticeship.  Starting in the workshop you will be supervised by an experienced and qualified engineer.

About You


JMP Engineering are looking for a team player with a passion for all things engineering.  To be successful in this apprenticeship you will need -

  • NCEA Level 2 in Maths and English
  • Pre-trade would be advantageous but not essential
  • Evident passion for engineering and fabrication
  • A positive attitude with determination and a willingness to learn
  • Pride in your work
  • Excellent timekeeping and a team player


Ngā Hāora  

Standard hours are 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.  Some overtime available.


Te Tohu  

New Zealand Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Trade) (Level4) with strand in Light Fabrication
