Building skills in the retail meat sector: please get involved!

What’s happening?

Competenz is reviewing qualifications in the retail meat sector – and we need your help to get this right. We want to develop qualifications that are simpler and more relevant to current and future employers and learners than the ones currently on offer.

Why should I get involved?

You’re the best source of information about the skills our industry needs to prosper: to be competitive, to grow, and to adapt in a world that’s changing quickly.

By taking part in this review you’ll be helping build a suite of qualifications that meets the needs of employers and learners in the retail meat sector now and into the future.

What do I need to do?

Please join Competenz and others in your industry at one of the kick-off meetings around the country in March and April. These sessions will help you understand what the reviews involve and how you can contribute your views over coming months.

When are the meetings?

Friday 28 March Christchurch (Russley) Tuesday 1 April Wellington (CBD) Wednesday 2 April Auckland (Newmarket) Thursday 3 April Tauranga (CBD)

The sessions run from 10am to 1pm, including a light lunch. They are open to anyone interested in attending.
