Most of these qualifications have been designed to meet the requirements of Maritime New Zealand’s seafarer licences. Maritime New Zealand is the Crown entity responsible for protecting New Zealand’s maritime environment and maintaining safety and security on and around the water.
Level 2 maritime qualifications cover entry-level positions. They offer a pathway into higher level qualifications in the maritime industry.
