During my apprenticeship, my manager has been the person who consistently turned uncertainty into confidence. From the very start, they made it clear that there were no “silly questions” and created a space where learning felt safe, supported, and genuinely encouraged.One moment that stands out was when I was leading a task for the first time and felt completely overwhelmed. Instead of stepping in and taking over, he sat with me, broke the problem down into manageable steps, and coached me through each stage. He didn’t just show me what to do—they helped me understand why it mattered and how to think through similar challenges on my own. By the end, not only was the task completed successfully, but I walked away with new skills and a sense of pride I hadn’t felt before.What makes him an outstanding coach is their balance of guidance and trust. He challenge me to stretch just beyond my comfort zone, then give me the tools and encouragement to get there. His patience, positivity, and belief in my potential have shaped the way I approach work, learning, and even setbacks.Because of his support, I’ve grown more confident, capable, and motivated than I ever expected at the start of my apprenticeship. He isn’t just a manager—he is a coach who brings out the best in people.
