Apprentice on a workshop floor

Building Safer Workplaces Together

Competenz partnership with New Zealand Red Cross makes first aid training easier more accessible and easier for our business partners, Employers and Apprentices. You can book a public course anywhere in the country and use your partner discount at the checkout.

"This integrated approach gives businesses the confidence to lead well, meet their obligations and grow capable, connected teams, delivering value for employers, learners and the wider New Zealand economy."

- Ruth Cooper, Executive Director, Competenz

Why it matters

In engineering, manufacturing and the trades, things can go wrong fast. A trained first aider can make the difference in those first few minutes. First aid skills also go with you, to every site, every team and home.

If you are training with us, some of our programmes will require you to obtain 6401 and 6402 as part of your qualification, we now make that easy!

Book a public course at a Red Cross Centre near you, and use promo code at the cart for your partner discount. Offer runs until 1 October 2027.
