This is a modern, advanced company within the New Zealand hydraulics industry, located in the South Island with offices in Timaru and Christchurch.
An opportunity exists at the Timaru branch for a Hydraulic Service Technician to join their highly capable and experienced service team.
About the Opportunity
Receive training to perform the following:
- Undertake all types of hydraulic service work, fault finding, and repairs, both on-site and in the workshop
- Work across a diverse range of industries and manufacturers serviced by the Timaru workshop, including farming, earthmoving, shipping, power generation, and meat processing
- Participate in a 24-hour on-call roster
- Service, repair, test, and fit hydraulic components such as hoses, pumps, motors, valves, and rams
- Perform new installation work on a variety of machinery
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety and safe work practices.
About You
Qualifications and requirements:
Previous experience in hydraulics or a mechanical/engineering background (preferred)Ability to operate machinery, tools, and measuring devices accuratelyStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under time restrictionsSelf-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a teamFull, clean NZ driver licence; medically and physically fitFlexibility to work overtime and participate in the after-hours on-call roster.Hours
Minimum 40 hours per week, with some overtime as required.
